Triple awards shortlisting

Shortlisted for 3 Community Rail Awards

We’re pleased to have three of our projects shortlisted for the 2026 Community Rail Awards.

Tamar Valley Blossom Festival

Community Engagement category
The Tamar Valley Blossom Festival saw National Trust Cotehele and the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership work together to engage communities around the Tamar Valley Line with the train and natural environment through guided walks, creative workshops, new artwork at Plymouth station and more.

More time in Looe

Tourism & Leisure category
We worked with tourism partners to promote the May 2025 timetable which brought quicker connections to/from Looe. The project spanned four themes: quicker journeys, coastal walks, evenings out and local heritage. Through videos, leaflets, local press and more, the campaign has helped the Looe Valley Line to be on track to achieve its busiest year on record.

Fantastic Facts from Devon & Cornwall’s Railways

Railway 200 Legacy category
We marked Railway 200 by digging into the archives to highlight and celebrate the unexpected and wonderful ways in which the railway has shaped and enriched life in the South West. Through boards at twelve stations, a mini-website, podcasts, videos and social media, we shared these stories with the community to raise awareness of rail’s pivotal impact and to foster local pride.
