South West Coast Path
Promoting walks from branch line stations
In 2011, a three-year project with the South West Coast Path was set up to promote accessing the coast path by train from branch line stations.
Initially, the project started on the Looe Valley Line, with a leaflet and interpretation board being produced. This quickly spread to the Tarka Line, and soon after that, the rest of the branch lines and some mainline stations.
Free maps and directions for the walks are also available on the Days out by train section of the South West Coast Path website.
