Supporting the launch with a pair of 'how to' video guides
In 2023, as part of the launch marketing for the new Pay As You Go smartcard in West Cornwall, we filmed a promotional video showing an example journey between Penryn and Truro. Partners were pleased with the video (“Very happy with that!”, “Absolutely love this – cracking job”) with GWR embedding the video in their landing page for the new product.
In 2026, the scheme was extended to cover journeys between all Cornish stations, as well as Plymouth and the Tamar Valley Line. We filmed a new video (below) and promoted this on social media:
The two videos reached a total of more than 100,000 people. The 2023 video received more than 1,300 Likes on our TikTok channel alone. GWR also promoted the video on their own social channels.
